Tapia pitches complete-game shutout in baseball team’s win over Roosevelt in Prep Roundup for March 26

Windsor 4, Roosevelt 0: In Johnstown, Corte Tapia pitched a complete game shutout and hit 2 for 3 with two RBI to lead Windsor to victory.
Tapia allowed five hits, walked three and struck out five. Jake Barker added a double and an RBI for the Wizards.
Brandin Obrecht allowed only one hit and one run for Roosevelt in his four innings on the mound, but Bryson Correjou gave up eight hits and three runs in three innings of relief. Windsor scored two in the top of the seventh to double its lead and put the game out of reach.
"Credit to Windsor for getting timely hits and great pitching," Rough Riders coach Jerod Cronquist said in an email.
Windsor improved to 2-0 4A Tri-Valley League, 2-0 overall. Roosevelt is 2-2 Tri-Valley, 3-3 overall.

GOLDEN — Windsor sophomore Riley Miller had a hand in three school records at the Mountain Vista Invitational on Saturday.
First, he teamed up with Ethan Hansbury, Colby Horton and Jeff Borrett to race the 200-yard medley relay in 1:41.55, beating the previous school mark set by Miller, Hansbury, Horton and Garrett Ludwick in 2016.
Then Miller finished the 200 freestyle in 1:48.90, two-hundredths of a second faster than Ryan Kurtz's 2013 record. Finally, Miller broke his own record — which he set last Thursday — in the 500 free with a time of 4:48.97, nearly five seconds faster than his old record.
In addition to the three records, the Wizards got podium finishes from Colby Horton (third in the 100 fly in 0:54.96) and Hansbury (third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.62).
Other Windsor swimmers who posted Class 4A state qualifying times were Hansbury (200 individual medley), Justin Krebs (200 IM, 100 backstoke), Borrett (50 free, 100 free), Ludwick (50 free, 100 free), Horton (100 fly, 100 back) and the relay team of Hansbury, Miller, Horton and Borrett (200 free, 400 free).
