Town to host Rockies Skills Challenge

The town of Windsor will host the Rockies Skills Challenge — a competition in running, batting and throwing — at 9 a.m. June 24 at Chimney Park Field.

The challenge is open to boys and girls, ages 6 to 13, and will include a skills competition in base running, batting off of a tee and throwing for distance and accuracy, according to a news release from the town of Windsor.

Registration will take place the day of the event from 8 to 9 a.m.

The top boy and girl in each division will advance to a sectional competition in July. Sectional winners will advance to the State Championships at All Star Park in August, according to the release.
