Tribute: James Juntzelman



James W. “Jim” Kuntzelman, 74, of Windsor, died Sept. 15, 2012, in Fort Collins.

Jim was born Sept. 6, 1938, to Harris “Tod” and Ottilla (Gaeth) Kuntzelman in Omaha, Neb. He attended Evanston High School in Illinois. On Sept. 29, 1964, he married Louise Blasdell in Evanston, Ill.

They lived in Chicago, North Platte, Neb., Des Moines, Iowa, and Windsor, Colo., since 2001. He owned Capital Rental in Des Moines, worked at KNOP TV in North Platte and Pelican Lakes Golf Course in Windsor. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, dancing, gardening and traveling.

Jim is survived by his wife, Louise, of Windsor; sons, Brad Kuntzelman (Peggy) of San Antonio, Texas, Kurt Kuntzelman (Jayme) of Colorado Springs, and Tod Kuntzelman (Mary) of Arvada; sister, Karen Mullinex (Winifred) of Monet, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dona Rose Harper.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Marks Funeral Chapel, 9293 Eastman Park Drive, Windsor.
