Tributes for April 9: Rachel Peercy

Rachel Annette (Brown) Peercy

Dec. 23, 1960- April 4 2017

Age: 56

Residence: Windsor

On April 4 2017, Rachel Annette (Brown) Peercy of Windsor went home to her heavenly Father's arms after a three-plus year battle with ovarian cancer.

Rachel was a 1979 graduate of Wilmington, Ohio, High School and a 1983 graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology. Rachel enjoyed teaching young children about Jesus, giving homework help at Maple Terrace Kids Club, and praising God on her trumpet at DaySpring Christian Church, the Northern Colorado Concert Band, and the Loveland Summer Concert Band. She loved her pets and also enjoyed fostering pets for the local Humane Societies, being outdoors, and most of all spending time with her family. Rachel enjoyed the love and support of her family, her church family, and co-workers at the City of Loveland where she worked as a Water Quality Analyst for 17 years, and friends far and wide.

She is survived by her loving husband Ron Peercy of Windsor; two wonderful sons, Capt. Aaron (USAF) and Elise (Vietri) Peercy of DuPont, Wash. and Christopher Peercy of Windsor; loving parents Roger and Evelyn (Saunders) Brown; and sister, Dayle Y. Brown of Wilmington; several in-laws; Uncle Wilbur Cline of Bellbrook, Ohio; and numerous cousins.

Memorial services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at DaySpring Christian Church, 8005 Highland Meadows Parkway, Windsor. Services at the New Vienna Church of Christ, 146 West St., New Vienna, Ohio will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers she would like donations to be made to Sonlight Academy, sonlightministries.org or Windward Islands School of Evangelism, windwardislandsschoolofevangelism.org. Rachel and her family thank Columbine Commons Health & Rehab Facility in Windsor, for their excellent care.
