Weld County Council to discuss filling vacant seat, performance reviews for commissioners, clerk and recorder’s office

The Weld County Council will hold a work session and a regular meeting on Monday.

Members will use the work session to interview applicants for the vacant District 3 seat and to discuss the County Commissioners' and Clerk and Recorder's performance reviews.

During the regular meeting, members will take public input on the commissioners' salaries. In many Colorado counties, the Legislature sets commissioner salaries, but in Weld, the county council sets the pay.

The Weld County Council will vote on the salaries in October for the for 2019 and 2020. Commissioners' current salary, set for 2017 and 2018, is $105,000 annually.

The work session will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at the county administration building, 1150 O St. The regular meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.
