Windsor Charter Academy Early College High School performs its first play

The Windsor Charter Academy opened its high school doors this past year, and this year students at the academy performed their first high school play.
Students performed "The Three Musketeers" on May 12 and 13 at the school.
"I thought it was a huge success," said Robert Lighthall, a music, theater, filmmaking and orchestra teacher with the Windsor Charter Academy.
The school began construction on the school in 2015, due to increasing enrollment.
About 20 high school students participated, Lighthall said. Although the play had about 25 characters, Lighthall said the 12 student actors in the show performed the parts well and eight volunteers worked on the technical aspects of the show, including the set and lights.
Lighthall said the school hopes to continue its productions in future years.
"We're hoping to expand the amount of shows that we do to give them an opportunity to kind of get as much experience as they can," he said.
