SUSPICIOUS TEXT TURNS OUT TO BE A JOKE

At 2:46 p.m. Aug. 9, police were called to the 700 block of Parkview Mountain Drive on a suspicious incident report where a man had received a text from an unknown number stating, "If you want to see your son's body again then say please." Police talked to the man and he said he got in touch with his sons, and it turned out that one of his son's friends was playing a sick joke. The man confirmed that all his sons were fine.

LITTERING PROBLEM IN FRONT OF EGG & I:

At 6:56 p.m. Aug. 10, police contacted an Egg & I employee regarding a littering complaint at her business at 1265 Main St. She told police that there had been a frequent problem with people littering in the parking lot of the business. She said people park in the lot at night, hang out and in the morning she finds a lot of trash. She said she doesn't care that they park there, but she wishes they would not litter.
