Staff reports

At 8:13 p.m. May 11, a 39-year-old Windsor man went to the Windsor Police Department with a small baggie of marijuana that he said he found in front of the Windsor Middle School football field along Main Street. The man told police he was walking along and looked down and saw something strange. He said he bent over and picked it up and thought it was marijuana and thought he should report it to the police department. In the baggie was less than 1 ounce of marijuana. Police took the weed and placed it into evidence for safe keeping until the time comes for it to be destroyed.

INTOXICATED WOMAN ROLLING AROUND SIDEWALK GETS COURTESY RIDE HOME FROM POLICE: At 1:44 a.m. May 4, police were conducting a routine patrol when they came to a stop sign at 10th and Walnut streets and observed a 40-year-old woman rolling along the sidewalk. She mumbled to police that she was walking home after drinking at the Duke of Windsor. Police said the woman had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her, bloodshot, watery eyes and was slurring her speech. She asked police if they would give her a ride home, and her ID checked out on a library card and was taken home.
