Windsor man appointed to workers’ comp board by Gov. Hickenlooper

A Windsor man was appointed to one of the several boards and commissions announced Friday by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper.
Michael W. Mitchell of Windsor was appointed to the Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board, which promotes cost containment and risk management programs in the administration of workers’ compensation programs.
Mitchell will serve as an executive with good risk management experience in the insurance industry. His term will expire Dec. 13, 2014. The appointments must be confirmed by the Colorado Senate.
The appointments were to the Board of Mortgage Loan Originators; the Colorado Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing; the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority Board of Directors; the Council for Educator Effectiveness; the Denver Metropolitan Area Regional Air Quality Council; the Ground Water Commission; the High-Performance Transportation Enterprise; the Securities Board and the Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board.
