Town of Windsor officials are expected to announce Tuesday the details behind a proposed $225 million athletic facilities campus that would create what they're calling the world's largest sports park.
In a news release issued Thursday afternoon, officials said the project includes 65 sports fields on a 413-acre campus, surrounded by more than 207 acres of commercial development.
Town officials declined to comment, stating details about the project — such as its exact location within Windsor and a partnership with a national sports franchise — would be discussed at Tuesday's news conference.
In the release officials say the project would impact the town, the region and the state.
