Police seek public's help locating suspects

The Windsor Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two men and their vehicle involved in a recent theft case.

On Aug. 22, Windsor police received a report of an 81-year-old resident who was contacted by two men claiming that the man's deceased wife had previously requested they complete work on the man's sidewalk and porch. According to a Windsor police news release, the two men intimidated the man into writing them a check for several thousand dollars.

One of the men and the vehicle involved are depicted in photographs.

Authorities ask that anyone who has any information about the individuals involved contact Sgt. Byron Kastilahn at (970) 674-6400.

Authorities also warned residents to be aware of fraudulent scams intended to take advantage of vulnerable members of the community, and to report any suspicious activities to the Windsor Police Department at (970) 674-6400.
