SEASON OUTLOOK:

This season's team has a great group of experienced players, all in their third year of playing together, Garcia said.

That experience is present in all areas of the pitch, he said. And the team has become a tight knit group of girls that care for one another on and off the pitch.

Although two years of losing the state semi-final games has been a heartbreaking experience for the team, he feels the team wants to prove they're capable of getting to the final match this year.

"We love that we fly under the radar and will work and prepare for the post-season," Garcia said. "We like to do this one game at a time and truly enjoy the journey of the season and each other."

Last year the team scored the most goals in 4A, he said. That demonstrates they can score, but this year the team wants to improve defensively.
