Action Line: Scary crossing

Question — Turning left from New Liberty Road onto 7th Street is sometimes scary. Does the town have any plans to put a roundabout or signal there?

Answer — Dennis Wagner, the director of the town's engineering department, said Windsor doesn't have anything budgeted this year for any work to be done at that intersection.

Whenever the town thinks it could be time to put a signal at an intersection, staff would study it first, Wagner said. An intersection would have to meet certain criteria — like a high volume of traffic — before the town would consider doing so.

A study has not been done at New Liberty and 7th, Wagner said.

If residents feel an intersection has need of a study, they can report it on the town of Windsor's website, through the YourGOV page: http://www.windsorgov.com/yourgov.

Once on the website, scroll down to the bottom, where you'll see a map. You can click on the location of the issue, select the type of issue (perhaps for this concern, "Traffic Signals") and enter a description.
