Celebrate Windsor’s Rich Heritage Oct. 3

Kelly Unger, Communications/ Assistant to the Town Manager

Looking for an event the whole family can enjoy? Come out to Boardwalk Park for the inaugural Heritage Fest from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Heritage Fest will include numerous activities and demonstrations for the whole family; from children's games and crafts to storytelling and native dancers and music, the event will embrace Windsor's heritage and provide hours of fun. Tour historic buildings and learn more about our exciting heritage. Ethnic food, 1890 Red beer from High Hops Brewery and other cold beverages will be available.

This is a great way to celebrate Windsor's 125th Anniversary and honor the founding families. Over many hundreds of years, Native Americans, French trappers, German Russians and Hispanics settled in the area. Thanks to their hard work and love of the land, Windsor and our residents are proud to call this place home.

So stop by from noon-5 p.m. Saturday at Boardwalk Park, 100 5th St., and enjoy the music, games, food and lakes views.
