The Greeley Stampede's management team for the fourth consecutive year is conducting a contest to determine who will sing the "Star Spangled Banner" before certain Stampede events.

According to a news release from Kevin McFarling, the Stampede's marketing coordinator, five singers will be chosen to sing the National Anthem at various Stampede events. Contestants should send video submissions to http://www.greeleystampede.org/p/nationalanthem. Those submissions will be judged via online votes, and ten contestants will be chosen to move forward. After that, the list will be narrowed to the five contestants who will sing, the release states.

Groups of up to five people can submit entries. Contestants must be singing the National Anthem in the video. The submission period ends May 16, according to the release. The voting period begins after that and will go until June 3. The winners will be announced June 4.

Winners will sing before rodeos on June 27, June 28, June 30 and July 1. They also will perform before the Greeley Stampede's PRCA Pro Rodeos and the Demolition Derby July 4th.
