England: We’re still here, but we are making some changes in Windsor
April 25, 2018
We are proud of Windsor Now, especially after we did some plastic surgery and gave it a new look and focus.
No one can say we didn't try.
But we have to stop printing it. It breaks our heart to tell you that, but the economic reality is this: Advertiser support didn't materialize as we hoped it would.
That's the bad news. Fortunately, since we are balanced (and fair), we have a lot of good news for you, as well.
We don't want to bury the lede, so here you go: We will still cover Windsor. You will see stories about Windsor nearly every day in The Tribune. Heck, we still will have a building in Windsor, just like we do in Greeley.
We will do this in a variety of new and exciting ways. These include:
Recommended Stories For You
➤ We will have an app just for Windsor news for your mobile device.
➤ We will have news updates for your smart speaker, such as an Amazon Echo or Google Home.
➤We will have a new magazine called MyWindsor filled with great stuff about Windsor. You'll read about things to do, places to eat and the people who make Windsor such a unique and special place to live.
➤We will have coverage of all the major events of Windsor in The Tribune.
➤ We will, finally, have all this news in one place, at http://www.mywindsornow.com, and through the app on your mobile device. So in that sense, you'll still enjoy Windsor Now, just in a different format.
As we said, we tried hard to find ways to make a print product work in Windsor. Windsor is a growing, exciting place, and we believe our news coverage should reflect that.
We simply could not find the advertisers to support it. It's a perplexing problem that continues to confound print publications. We hope if you're an advertiser you consider our new ways to connect with readers.
And readers, we hope you will support the magazine and our other efforts the way you supported Windsor Now.
We're still here.
