Gov. Hickenlooper appoints Windsor man to judicial nominating commission
January 29, 2018
A Windsor resident is among those Gov. John Hickenlooper appointed to a variety of boards and commissions, according to a Monday news release from the governor's office.
Stephen Charles Tool of Windsor was appointed to serve on the Judicial District Nominating Commission for the 8th Judicial District.
There is a Judicial Nominating Commission for each of Colorado's 22 judicial districts, and those commissions select nominees for district and county judicial vacancies. Each district commission is led by a Colorado Supreme Court justice, who is a non-voting member of the commission, according to the release.
Tool was appointed as a non-attorney, an unaffiliated voter and Larimer County resident. Tool's term will expire Dec. 31, 2023.
