Low-income Weld County pet owners can find assistance at Fort Collins clinic
October 1, 2016
FORT COLLINS — Low-income residents of Weld County whose pets need to be spayed or neutered can find assistance through Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic, 2321 E. Mulberry St., Unit 9, in Fort Collins. The clinic's Prevent A Litter Plus program was recently awarded a grant through the Colorado Pet Overpopulation Fund specifically targeted at helping at-risk dogs and cats in Weld County, according to a news release.
Qualified low-income Weld County residents who have little or no funds to spare for spaying or neutering their animals are encouraged to apply for Prevent A Litter Plus assistance. A $20 co-pay is requested at the time of surgery, but people who cannot afford the co-pay can still apply.
The guidelines and application can be found online at http://www.FCCRSNC.org, and pet owners who have additional questions may call (970) 817-5952.
