North Front Range MPO elects Windsor Mayor Kristie Melendez as vice-chairwoman

The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization Council recently elected new officers, selecting Larimer County Commissioner Tom Donnelly as chairman and Windsor Mayor Kristie Melendez as vice-chairwoman.
The group is the lead planning organization for transportation and air quality in northern Colorado, and it works to promote regional solutions for transportation with a council comprised of elected officials from 15 member governments.
Donnelly begins his third stint as chairman, and this is Meldendez's first leadership position with the council.
Melendez is Windsor's first female mayor, and she also serves on the North I-25 and Hwy 34 coalitions, among many other boards, according to the release.
