Orientations for new United Way funding process announced

United Way of Weld County will host orientation meetings about a new to fund organizations will be held through the end of March.

Nonprofits, government agencies, faith-based organizations and other interested entities are invited, according to a news release from United Way of Weld County. Community leaders with skills such as banking, education, entrepreneurship, governance and the law and more are also welcome.

The orientations will be throughout Weld County, and one will be in Windsor.

According to the release, planning conversations will focus on four areas: Early Childhood (ages 0-8), Youth Development (ages 9-24), Homelessness/Household Stability and Senior Services (ages 62+).

Agencies seeking United Way support must have a representative at one of the orientations, according to the release. The orientations will be identical and will be held:

➤ 6-8 p.m. March 21, Carbon Valley Library, Firestone
