Rebuilding green workshop Wednesday at recreation center

Windsor property and business owners affected by the May 22 tornado are invited to attend a rebuilding green workshop at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Windsor Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th St.
Weld County and the Town of Windsor in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and federal agency partners including the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Small Business Administration and Housing and Urban Development with Colorado agencies such as Department of Local Affairs and the Governor’s Energy Office are inviting property, business owners and contractors to attend the workshop to learn about energy and money saving green ideas for rebuilding properties and businesses damaged in the tornado.
A press release from the Town of Windsor said topics on the agenda are:
– Why include energy savings in rebuilding?
– What monies are available for creating energy saving improvements?
– Builders can learn about issues and methods for their clients.

Utility companies will also be at the workshop to provide information on rebates and other energy saving items.
