Stampede Foundation sets art contest for high school students
April 9, 2018
The Greeley Stampede Foundation announced Monday its third annual "Young Trailblazer Art Competition" will award a pair of $2,500 scholarships to winning Weld County high school students.
The contest, open to current juniors and seniors in the county, is taking place in conjunction with the 19th annual Western Art Invitational and Sale.
There are no limitations on the type of art — genre or medium — entered.
The winners will be selected by professional artists and will be announced at the Invitational's Stampede opening night gala June 21, and the student art can be seen at the Stampede itself from June 22-July 4.
Information on the contest and entry procedure is at greeleystampede.org/p/scholarships.
