WINDSOR — Both girls who were hit by a car Monday night are expected to recover.
About 5:05 p.m., the girls, ages 13 and 14, were struck by a sport utility vehicle at a crosswalk near 7th Street and Hemlock Drive.
They were transported to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, where they were treated for head and upper/lower torso injuries, according to a news release from town officials Monday.
The girls have since been transported to Children's Hospital Colorado.
It looks like both girls will recover, Windsor police Administrative Lt. Craig Dodd said Wednesday.
The driver of the SUV was cited for failure to yield the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk and careless driving resulting in an injury police said Monday.
