January 22, 2018
The Weld County Public Works Department reopened Weld County Road 54 north of Johnstown just before 6:30 a.m. Monday.
According to a news release from Jennifer Finch, spokeswoman for the county, the stretch of Weld 54 between Weld 17, which is less than a mile south of Greeley, and Colo. 257 — just south of U.S. 34 — is now open once again.
The county's public works department had closed the road about 6 p.m. Sunday, a release states, out of concern for personal vehicles and county snow plows. The release states county employees used snow gates to shut down traffic in the area Sunday night into this morning.
