Weld County voters turn in more than 50,000 ballots

Less than a week remains until Election Day and Weld County voters have turned in 50,032 ballots as of Wednesday morning.

The Colorado Secretary of State's office released the new numbers Wednesday showing registered Republicans have maintained the lead in the county's ballot-turn-in numbers.

A breakdown of ballots returned by party registration for Weld shows:

» American Constitution Party — 187

» Democratic Party — 13,716

» Green Party — 87

Across the whole state, 1,200,672 voters turned in their ballots by Wednesday morning, according to Colorado Secretary of State information.
