The team is the largest it has ever been, leading to depth and healthy competition at practices, Wilbur said. Windsor also has some returning runners with state qualifying and all-conference credentials.

However, they are young and somewhat inexperienced. For many, it is their first season participating in cross country at the high school or competitive level.

The boys team has the potential to improve upon last years performances, with the increase in off-season preparation and addition of new runners.

The girls teams has something to prove after being narrowly edge out at the region race and failing to qualify for state. Despite the loss of some runners, others have stepped up and filled the void. The girls are focused, he said.
