Windsor begins repaving work today around town

The town of Windsor will begin repaving roadways in need of work starting today on Promontory Drive.
The work is a portion of the town's annual roadway improvement project, according to a news release from the town.
Work will begin on Promontory Drive and move to Promontory Circle, Hunter Drive, Hunter Court, and Locust Street (7th Street to 10th Street). Weather permitting, manholes and valves will be lowered today, streets will be milled Monday and paving will begin Aug. 17, continuing through Aug. 25.
Streets will be closed to through traffic during construction.
Access to residences and businesses will remain open, except during the overlay process.
Once the process begins, access to residences and businesses will be closed for four to six hours.

All affected residents will receive a door hanger with further details and dates as work on the project progresses.
The town asks the public to plan accordingly, use alternate routes and watch for signs, flaggers and cones marking the work zone.
