Area residents and business owners have a special opportunity to meet local leaders and elected officials Wednesday at Meet Your Windsor Community Leaders Night.

The Windsor Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to get together with a number of officials, talk and share some food in a casual setting, said Windsor Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michal Connors. Going from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Windsor Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th Street, the free event will also include tours of the recreation center and appetizers.

"It is important to the chamber that our citizens stay informed on important issues pertaining to our community," Connors said. "What a better way than to introduce our citizens and business leaders to the elected officials, government officials and advisory boards that serve Windsor."

Windsor's chamber has put on meet and greet events like this for over 12 years, Connors said. And each year she looks forward to meeting new people from around the Windsor area. Tuesday's also gives locals a chance to talk with their elected officials about their thoughts and concerns and the future of the town.

"This year we will have some of the candidates that will be on our ballot in November," she said "I look forward to meeting with them and hearing their views on some of the important issues facing northern Colorado today."

Quite a list of local leaders are expected to attend including:
