Windsor High School Key Club to sponsor a child with Make A Wish

Kids for Wish Kids is a program through Make A Wish, where high schools sponsor a child with a life-threatening medical condition, and raises money on their behalf for the foundation.

Kinsey Smith and Kiley Smith are members of Key Club, and their father has been a board member for Colorado Make A Wish for a year. After learning about the Kids for Wish Kids program, the girls brought the idea to key club, and this will be the school's first year participating.

Windsor Key Club averages about 50 students each meeting, and they organize several community service projects through the school year.

On Wednesday, the club heard from Sarah Grosh from Make-A-Wish to get fundraiser ideas.

At the meeting was Ray Kepler from the Fort Collins Kiwanis Club brought pizza to the meeting, and said the excitement from students in Key Clubs are what revitalize Kiwanis International (the adult parent volunteer organization to Key Clubs.)

Other recent community service projects from the Windsor High School Key club include volunteering at the Cattle Baron's Ball and highway cleanups.
