Woman's dog barks and makes her worried about neighbor
At 9:37 p.m. Sept. 1, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Walnut Street because a woman's dog was barking, which she said was unusual, and she was worried about her neighbor. The woman told the officer her dog doesn't normally bark and she didn't know if perhaps there was an animal walking by or maybe her neighbor was in trouble. The neighbor had been having trouble with her boyfriend, the woman said. She had been sending her neighbor messages on Facebook, she hadn't heard anything back and didn't know if the boyfriend was there. The officer went next door and talked with the neighbor. The neighbor said she was fine and would talk with the concerned woman.
Officer finds underage marijuana possession during traffic stop: At 12:07 a.m. Aug. 29, an officer noticed three boys on skateboards and a bike near Windsor Middle School. Watching the three, the officer saw them roll up to a stoplight that was red and go through the intersection without heeding the traffic signal. The officer stopped the boys and smelled marijuana. The officer asked the boys if they had any, all denied having marijuana. However, after the officer asked again, one admitted to having marijuana and gave the 0.03 ounces to the officer. The officer told the boy he would receive a summons for illegal possession of marijuana by an underage person and gave all three verbal warnings for the traffic violations.
