January 17, 2018
Windsor police arrested two men Wednesday after a widespread search in the area of Weld County Road 17 and Crossroads Boulevard in Windsor.
A Windsor police officer came across a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle about 2:10 a.m. near homes that are under construction, according to a release from Windsor police. Officers checked homes in the area, eventually finding evidence of forced entry into a house at 2059 Picture Point Drive.
Police did not find anyone inside the house, but they learned suspects exited out the back of the house, Windsor Police spokesman Lt. Craig Dodd said. Windsor police called Johnstown police and Colorado State Patrol to assist with a search perimeter.
Dodd said police arrested Fort Collins resident Blake Eihausen, 30, and Andrew Wisniewski, 35, of Greeley. Police later found numerous tools and equipment taken from the home in a search of the area, according to the release.
Eihausen and Wisniewski are being held at the Weld County Jail. Police will not release additional information as they continue to investigate the burglary.
Police ask that anyone with information about this incident or any other burglaries in Windsor contact the Windsor Police Department at (970) 674-6400.
